Beginner quilt patterns are those patterns that are generally considered easy or are best for those without much quilting experience. Sometimes people refer to these as easy or simple quilt patterns. If you are new to quilting or would like something to complete in a short amount of time, pick up a beginner quilt pattern.
Just because these patterns are for beginners does not mean they are not beautiful. Many beginner quilt patterns have nice geometric designs, or use great applique. Beginner quilt patterns generally have better and clearer step-by-step instructions, sometimes in full color, and explain techniques a little more in depth.
Some of the factors that affect the difficulty of creating a quilt are the number of pieces and blocks, the type of seams you need to create, the amount of pressing and prep work, how accurate your fabric cutting needs to be, and how big the finished project is to be.
