There's an honorable story behind the the creator of Cookie's Creations' patters.  Valerie Burton, a two-time breast cancer survivor, donates 10% of all proceeds of her patterns to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  "My life has been extremely affected by breast cancer. I am a two-time breast cancer survivor. My mom died of breast cancer and my sister is also a lucky survivor."  You will notice a pink ribbon on the cover of many of her patterns.

Valerie has been raised "under the quilting frame" for as long as she can remember.  Aside from creating original patterns, she teaches, works at the local quilt shop in Kayesville Utah, and spends time with her six grandsons.

Valerie was recently asked to prepare two quilt patterns for a new line of Moda fabrics.  These patterns are available from The Quilt Pattern Shoppe.
