Diane Knott has had many years of experience in both the wholesale and retail industries with experience in art licensing since 1999. Educated in fine and advertising art, she has designed successful candle accessories for such companies as Yankee Candles & others. Her kitchen textiles have been sold in many major chains throughout the country. Diane designs fabrics exclusively for Clothworks Textiles. She has numerous product categories to her credit, including the design of stationery, cards, calendars, floor coverings, resin figurines, ceramics, as well as inspirational items in many media. While owning her own needlework and framing shop, she also designed and sold her own line of giftware, home decor and hand-painted furniture. She also creates one-of-a-kind art collages, greeting cards and crazy quilted items, pillows and pincushions that she sells locally and in the Etsy shop, Cottage by The Pond, that she shares with her daughter, Holly Knott. This year Holly and Diane have added sewing and quilting patterns that they design to their list of offerings for sale. Holly Knott is an artist living in the scenic Finger Lakes region of upstate NY. She and her artist mother, Diane Knott, a professional watercolor painter, are the owners of Cottage by the Pond quilting and sewing patterns, and handmade one-of-a-kind goodies such as handbags, pillows, scarves, jewelry and more. Holly’s art quilts and wearables have been exhibited and sold in juried shows and galleries, and have been published in several books and publications including Lark Books’ “500 Art Quilts.” She is the co-author of the quilting book “Quilted Garden Delights,” (C&T Publishing 2008) for which she and Diane teamed up, turning Diane’s paintings into quilt patterns.
