About the designer, Gianna Metzinger. Five years ago I began quilting on a whim (actually, a challenge issued by my daughter). What I thought would be one block (just to prove I could do it) turned into a hand pieced and appliquéd twin sized quilt and, many quilts later, a passion. Quite simply, making and giving peoples quilts makes me happy. I hope my simple designs please you, too. When I'm not at my sewing machine or my local quilt shop, I can be found following my other passion - teaching first grade. That also makes me very happy.
