Quilt Cabana Patterns

Sandi Colwell, Quilt Cabana Patterns, I confess I am a quilt lover! I’m actually a lover of all things craft related. Sewing has always been in my life although I didn’t actually start sewing until I had children. My grandmothers and mom sewed beautiful projects while I was growing up. After I got used to being home with the kids, I wanted to do something that was productive but that could be done at home. I asked my mother to help me dust off the sewing machine I received as a high school graduation gift, she taught me to sew, and my life as a “sewer” took off! I started with a small child’s apron for my daughter and once that was completed, she looked up at me and said, “Can you make me a dress?” What else could I do but make the dress! That of course lead to matching Easter dresses for all three girls and then I moved onto quilting. I taught myself quilting and also designing.

The idea to start publishing patterns came last year. I made several wall hangings that are presently being compiled into a seasonal wall hanging book. I also have several patterns that are available at quilt stores and online. I hope you enjoy the ones that are for sale here on this site.

My love of crafts crosses over to scrapbooking and designing with polymer clay. I have many projects published in craft magazines and online.
