Cottage Quilt Designs

Rochelle Martin started quilting in 1991 for herself and others when her children were old enough to be in school. Quickly she started designing and making quilts for a Michigan business, taught beginner quilt classes, then began Cottage Quilt Designs in December of 2004 after her published patterns sold well at the local quilt shop.

Since then she has had many designs published in Quilter's World, Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting and Easy Quilts, Quiltmania and Cotton Spice quilt magazines. Her designs have also been published in books by House of White Birches and freelance designs for Clothworks fabric company.

Rochelle and her daughter, Laura Day, published their first book together titled Strangled by Wild Geese in June 2010. The book has the first quilt mystery in the Quilted Cat Mystery series written by Laura and ten quilting projects you can make designed by Rochelle in beginning and intermediate skill level using flying geese segments in the projects. Their book and Rochelle's patterns are available on her website, this online shop and many others across the U.S.
